До питання мотивації студентів закладів вищої освіти МОЗ України під час вивчення дисципліни «Іноземна мова за професійним спрямуванням»

Abstract

У статті розглянуто питання мотивації студентів закладів вищої освіти МОЗ України під час вивчення дисципліни «Іноземна мова за професійним спрямуванням». Проаналізовано дослідження вітчизняних та зарубіжних науковців, присвячені проблемам мотивації навчання та питанням організації іншомовної діяльності студентів. З’ясовано, що питання мотивації студентів закладів вищої освіти МОЗ України під час вивчення дисципліни «Іноземна мова за професійним спрямуванням» є недостатньо висвітленим в українській педагогічній думці. Вказано на необхідність вивчення англійської мови для сучасних студентів закладів вищої освіти МОЗ України. Обґрунтована важливість опанування навчального матеріалу у контексті курсу англійської мови для подальшої професійної діяльності майбутніх медичних працівників, підкреслено необхідність володіння іноземною мовою на рівні В2. Наведено дані, отримані в результаті анкетування, що стосувалося визначення важливих мотиваційних чинників серед респондентів Запорізького державного медичного університету. Визначено головні для студентів молодших курсів мотиваційні чинники під час вивчення іноземної (англійської) мови, серед яких працевлаштування за кордоном, можливість участі у міжнародних медичних симпозіумах, спілкування, обмін досвідом з іноземними колегами, успішне складання Єдиного Державного Кваліфікаційного Іспиту «Крок-1» та всебічний розвиток особистості. Крім того, вказано чинники, які впливають на шляхи підвищення мотивації вивчення іноземної мови: бажання вчитися самого студента, особистість викладача, форма та навчально-пізнавальний зміст практичних занять. Наголошено, що кожен майбутній фахівець має прагнути до постійного самонавчання та саморозвитку у професійній сфері, що потребує достатньої вмотивованості процесу самовдосконалення володіння іноземною (англійською) мовою. Звернуто увагу на роль викладача у процесі створення та підтримання позитивної мотивації студентів до вдосконалення іншомовної професійної компетентності. The article deals with the motivation of medical students in higher educational establishments of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine while studying the discipline “English for special purposes”. The studies of national and foreign scientists devoted to problems of positive motivation and questions of organization of foreign language activities among students are analyzed. It is clarified that the issue of medical students’ motivation of higher educational establishments of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine while studying the discipline “Foreign Language for Professional Orientation” is not sufficiently highlighted in the Ukrainian pedagogical thought. The necessity of studying English for a modern medical student is indicated. The importance of mastering the English language course material for the further professional activity of future medical staff is substantiated; the necessity of knowing a foreign language at B2 level is emphasized. The data obtained as a result of questionnaires on revealing of important motivational factors among respondents of Zaporizhzhia State Medical University are given. The main motivational factors, including employment abroad, the opportunity to participate in the international medical symposiums, communication and exchange of experience with foreign colleagues, the successful passing of the State Qualifying Exam “Step-1”, comprehensive personality development for students during the study of a foreign (English) language are determined. In addition, the factors that influence the ways of increasing the motivation of studying a foreign language are indicated: desire to study, teacher personality, the form and educational and cognitive content of practical classes. It is stressed that every future specialist should strive for constant self-education and self-development in the professional sphere, which requires a sufficient motivation for the process of self-improvement of foreign (English) language proficiency.The attention is paid to the role of the teacher in creating and maintaining a positive motivation of students to improve their foreign professional competence.
