dc.description.abstractOn a global scale, one of the most common neurological diseases is epilepsy, which often leads to severe consequences. As a result, complex diagnosis and prolonged treatment are required. Nowadays, accepted standards for the treatment of this disorder have already developed, compliance with which can significantly enhance the treatment effectiveness and improve the quality of patients‘ lives. In the therapy, antiepileptic drugs are commonly used. Sometimes, such medications are taken throughout the whole life. Lamotrigine is one of the most effective new-generation anticonvulsants, the demand of which is high in the pharmaceutical market. Because of it, this chemical substance is represented in tablets in different dosages by various manufacturers. For this reason, the confirmation of the quality of pharmaceutical drugs containing lamotrigine is subjected to the requirements, demanding accurate, reliable, and inexpensive methods of quantitative analysis.uk_UK
