Електронна лексикографія в умовах глобальної діджиталізації (критичний аналіз англомовних медичних словників)

Abstract

Роботу присвячено лексикографії, яка потребує більш детального вивчення як теоретичних, так і практичних питань у час стрімкої глобальної інформатизації і мобільності. У наші дні продовжують створюватися словники різних типів, але більш агресивна політика в лексикографії спрямована на створення електронних словників як невід'ємної частини глобальної діджиталізації. Особливо актуальним сьогодні є вирішення цих проблем у термінологічній лексикографії медицини, коли ми стикаємося зі швидким розповсюдженням вірусів, інтенсивним розвитком раку, труднощами в лікуванні та профілактиці захворювань, які несуть невиліковні ускладнення для людей у всьому світі. Метою роботи є виявлення основних принципів електронної лексикографії для реєстрації медичних термінів у медичних словниках. Об'єктом дослідження є принципи і методи англомовної медичної лексикографії, а предметом – електронні англомовні медичні словники/довідники й інструменти лексикографування особливостей медичних термінів. Той факт, що окреслені вище питання не були предметом лексикографічного дослідження, визначає актуальність вибраної теми. Для досягнення мети була застосована комплексна методологія: аналітичний огляд теоретичної літератури, опублікованої в рамках теоретичної лексикографії та науково-практичної термінологічної лексикографії; лексикографічний аналіз для вивчення макро- та мікроструктур словника; метод критичного аналізу для вивчення особливостей складання словника; метод співставлення для узагальнення отриманих результатів; діахронний та синхронний підходи до дослідження принципів укладання словників. Результати дослідження допомогли дійти висновку, що під час глобальної діджиталізації електрона лексикографія використовує методи і підходи, сформовані в англомовній термінографії за весь час її існування, а також адаптує інструменти, розроблені завдяки інформаційним технологіям залежно від потреб користувача. Саме вони допомагають у вирішенні питань лексикографування неологізмів, полісемії й етимології в медичній термінографії. CRITICAL ANALYSIS OF ENGLISH MEDICAL DICTIONARIES) The article is done in the field of lexicography which still needs more detailed study of its theoretical and practical issues. These days dictionaries of different types have being published, but the most aggressive politics in lexicography is being directed to the creation of e-dictionaries as an integral part of global digitalisation. In its turn, the development of scientific and technical progress demands from lexicographers quick and fruitful solution of questions concerning productive communication in different fields of knowledge. Especially urgent today is to solve these problems in medicine, when we face intensive development of cancer, complications after different viruses, difficulties in treatment and prevention of other diseases which might cause human deaths. The analytical review of the literature revealed that lacuna devoted to the complex study of medical lexicography has not been filled yet. In this research we present the results of e-Lexicography of medicine investigation as a part of our comprehensive research of English medical terminography. The aim of our work is to reveal the main principles of e-lexicography for medical term registration in medical dictionaries. The object of the study is English medical lexicography, the subject – electronic medical dictionaries. Such issues have not been the subject of lexicographic study that determines the relevance of the chosen topic. To achieve the goal, a complex methodology was applied: analytical review of theoretical literature published within theoretical lexicography and English medical terminography; lexicographic analysis for studying mega-, macro- and microstructures of the dictionary; method of critical analysis for studying the features of the dictionary compilation; method of juxtaposition for summing up the obtained findings; diachronic and synchronic approaches. The article lists and analyses the most popular English medical reference books created in the frame of e-Lexicography. The results of the study have revealed that due to the processes of digitalisation and user needs e-lexicography uses the tools and approaches, which have been developed in terminological lexicography (terminography), and have being adopted from information technologies. They assist in solving problems of neologisms, polysemy and etymology registration in medical dictionaries.
